Satin Lapel

This romper/jumper is another find from anthro. Love! this right here is my inspiration and drive to learn to sew even if its the last thing i do. I paired the romper with a black longsleeved shirt and one of my favorite black blazers with a satin lapel. I like to keep an eye out for seemingly simple details that add a little something extra.

Like a Sky Blue Glove

For a celebratory dinner this past weekend, i wore a dress i've had in my closet for a while now. A few months ago, I went on a daytrip with the Manfriend. On our way, we passed by a thriftstore, and decided to stop in and browse around. While i was looking thru the dresses, a a fellow shopper, approached me with this dress in hand, handed it to me and said, "here, you seemed like you'd like this dress". I was incredibly suprised, but i thanked her and headed to the nearest dressing room to try it on.i'm grateful to that kind shopper, partly because she was right, i instantly loved the beautiful sky bluish color and 80's prom ruffles. The other part...she definitely made my day.

Spinning

Happy Monday!!
I had a pretty chaotic weekend but found a few moments to just relax. Very few things can beat easy fall days, with the sun shining, hanging out with my siblings.

A little Sparkle

TGIF!!!
I'm dressed for mostly comfort today. I had tons of things to do. From an exam in the morning to running errands afterwards. I figured my sequined top would add a little sparkle, ok a lot of sparkle..lol which instantly adds a little excitement to my mood. What can i say, i'm a sucker for sequins.

Red Blaze

Another outfit inspired by the beautiful fall foliage. And introducing one of my blazer purchases from the summer. A blazer i like to call, the "Red Blaze"...lol, yes i know its weird to name your clothes and to that i have no good response. But,I've been waiting for the weather to cool down so i could wear this blazer comfortably. I'm loving how easily it transforms a basic outfit into something a bit more exciting.
*And to answer the numerous questions i've received about these platforms, from readers and just random ppl who've seen me in them.
And my answer is:
Yes, the platforms are quite high, but they're quite comfortable. No joke.

Old Faithful

One of my favorite things about fall? Blazers...I've built a small collection over the summer. But this black one remains my ALL TIME FAVORITE. I like to call it "old faithful" because no matter how many blazers i acquire, I feel like i'll never tire of this one. Also because i'm pretty sure it complements every single item in my closet. Here's another blouse that's been sitting in my closet waiting for a turn to shine in the blog spotlight. Its a few sizes too big, but it gained access into my closet, thru its fun colors and vibrant print. So for all you blouses out there vying for a spot in my closet, there's only one requirement: be vibrant colored or printed. Bonus points for both.

Costumes and Mismatching

Hope everyone had a fantastic halloween! I had a great time with friends.I got to party with a black angel,a geisha and cat woman. As for my costume, i started off as the queen of hearts but people were confused as i didn't have a crown or anything, lol, so i changed it to a gothic ballerina. That went better.but let me say, that even though i dress up nearly daily, being in a costume was definitely a blast. Next year, i plan to go outside my comfort zone...maybe sexy mime? lol. I have no clue why that keeps cracking me up.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
It's back to the daily grind, and for my outfit, i was feeling really playful this morning. Hence the bow, and the colors. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and i couldn't help but be inspired to mix and match my colors.

Queen of Hearts!

This is my costume for Halloween. I'm the Queen of Hearts, but i think most of you probably figured it out. l wore it work, and had to keep explaining to people who i was. lol. Ok, my real costume is soon to be posted. And i did try to stay away from stereotypical sexy cop and stuff like that, but i didn't get very far though..so..be warned. However, i am considering something along the lines of... a sexy mime...lol.

I do Colors

The weather was gorgeous yesterday. I couldn't resist the urge to wear a skirt and my new boots. LOVE em, because they're surprisingly comfortable. I didn't feel like switching out purses because that's how i end up getting locked out of the office...or my house...or my car..lol. Plus i'm all about random splashes of color.

Shrug It Off

It pretty much rained all day today,so no outside pics. I had to find a lonely corner and take pics today. And yeah, that's right, i'm wearing the shrug...but one-armed. I really like the way it looks.

Houndstooth

I was browsing thru the racks at Anthro, and i found this lovely top. Its got a lovely draping detail in the front, and its silk... i'm such a sucker for silk tops. I think it added a nice touch to the layers of my outfit, especially paired w/ my new houndstooth cardi which i love as well. I can't believe i hadn't acquired any houndstooth pieces until now. And as you can see, i'm rain-ready with the boots.

Daydreamer

I have finally come to accept that fall is finally here, and that summer is no more. This was my farewell to summer outfit. And yes, i am aware that i seem to find random themes to dress up for and i'm ok with that. It was a gorgeous day, and i knew it would be one of the last days that i'd be able to just seat outside and engage in one of my all-time favorite activities...reading. So i packed up some of my favorite books from my younger days and headed to the park, where i reread my favorite portions of books i love, and day-dreamed the afternoon away.
